transmission and distribution systems?
The transmission and distribution systems in California did not change overnight. There was no earthquake, no refinery explosion, no nuclear meltdown, and no sudden spikes in demand. As the system became loaded it would normally degrade gradually and in discrete spots. The only thing that changed between adequate energy and crisis is that an administration came into power in Washington that not only wouldn't prevent a crisis, but actively promoted one.

I'm aware of those issues yes. Not blind at all.
I stand by my accusaations but awaiting more evidence.
No matter what the Duke facts the energy "crisis" and gouging was clearly manipulated and created at the top.
And those connections go all the way to Bush/Cheney. If you can't see that you're the one who's blind. All of these power companies have very close ties to the White House and the Bush Campaign. Enron even has a man inside the White House now. But they are all insiders. And they all pay their soft money. Doesn't take a genius, does it?

And how about El Paso Gas jacking its prices 500% with no real supply shortage and no added delivery cost to them?
Think that just happened by accident? NG prices still haven't gone down here in California. Still 500% higher.
It's highway robbery and it's being either manipulated by or encouraged at the very top. To believe anything less would be to be naive.
