Home made Lemonade -

As a follow-up to the Limonchello recipe, it only makes sense to have a way to use up the rest of the lemons after the cordial is made. Here goes:

5 - whole lemons
1 - cup sugar
1 - quart water

Using a sharp knife, cut away all the pith of the lemon husk, down to the fruit. Using an Osterizer blender, cut the lemons into quarters and "blend" them to a fine pulp.

Pour blended lemons through a colander into a pitcher. Press pulp to extract as much juice as possible. Next slowly pour the water over the pulp and press again. Add sugar and stir to dissolve.

After the mixture is chilled, taste it for proper sweetness.

Serve chilled over two ice cubes in a tall glass.
