Dear CC: What is wrong with you people?? Calif. has the BEST record on energy conservation in the nation and LOOK WHAT IS HAPPENING? We need more energy PURE AND SIMPLE. Thats not BULLSHIT thats FACT!! Responsible Conservation is good but NOT THE ANSWER. We have IGNORED energy for years and now we are paying the piper. Finally we have a President who is willing to step up to the plate and ADMIT THE TRUTH!! Damn if I want to go beg the Arabs for oil, we got to find it and develop it ourselves. If and when we start that you will see the Arabs will beg US to buy their oil. I cannot believe all the bullshit I hear and read about conservation which is absolutely not true. EVERYONE, and I am sure that includes Bush wants to protect our VAST public lands for the future, but there is no reason to turn them into a wasteland devoid of human intervention for the sake of some tree mouse.
