You know you're right. I've got a friend who takes lives in Hawthorne Ca. and his kids go to public school. He was telling me about the lack of books and my first thought was, "How in the F*** can you call yourself a school and not have BOOKS be the FIRST thing you buy????? All you need is book, teacher, and building.
LAUSD spends over $10,000 per student(I believe the 01-02 budget will spend close to $12K) and they can't find the money for BOOKS???? The janitors, teachers unions, and all the thieves in the beuracracy/heiarchy are robbing these kids of their future!!!
This should not be a Rep. vs. Dem. issue but it so often is. Meanwhile the public school kids drift down the river of stupidity.
