You know, what this dream experiment proves, or at least suggests, is that since dreams are presumably beyond our conscious control, the very fact of being a Democrat or Republican is not a free choice but is innate wthin the person. Like gender, sexual orientation, etc. Therefore, we need to treat political orientation as another protected category guaranteed freedom from discrimination.

We have developed a whole new social cause here!

I saw the report about the dreams on TV yesterday. What I found even more interesting than the political component was the simple frequency of nightmares. I haven't had a nightmare in at least twenty years, maybe thirty. They're talking about people having multiple nightmares per week. Boggles my mind.

"So it would make sense in terms of people whose subconscious is trying to tell them to be more sharing, more left wing in a sense."

The left wingers are the "go along" crowd who must always "fit in" at all costs. It makes sense that they would be lulled in to a limp sense of calm like a swarm of wet rags.

We like the duped masses that way. Stay just like you are. We can go around when you get in our way of actually living.

Maybe righties have more nightmares because they have more regular dreams. A higher proportion of lefties pass out into oblivion after consuming mass quantities of various substances.

PS - why does "righties" show up as a spelling error but "lefties" does not?
