Actually, MOT's report wasn't as bad as it could be because it looks like the book to bill has improved.

In Europe, sales and orders were down significantly

I suppose that means that the little GPRS business MOT was doing in Europe isn't doing too well. No big surprise there, this is not unexpected.

Nokia better deliver on GPRS. I think the chances are about 50-50 that it will. TI says that the GPRS DSPs will be available in commercial quantities in the Fall of this year. There is damn little leeway 'til Xmas season. Any glitch will blow Xmas for Nokia. It has to perform absolutely perfectly, considering its PR [millions of GPRS sets this Winter], otherwise it's credibility is toast. Not that its credibility is everywhere unquestioned.
