Andy - Re: "I don't recall you posting any opinions on this board about the performance of Northwood. Now that it is looking like we may see it pretty soon, what are you expecting in architectural changes, ability to scale, size ?"

Northwood should be available in Q1 2002 - although some people (correctly or incorrectly) expect it in Q4 2001.

One estimate I saw of the Northwood Die Size was 140 sq. mm. - but I haven't yet been able to verify this number.

Re: "Also, are there any code names for Northwood follow-on devices that have made it into the public domain? I haven't seen any yet."

One name - that I saw only once - is "Berryessa" - with a larger L2 cache and VERY FAST FSB )> 400 MHz).
