There have been long interregnums between major wars before. This one is only 56 years long now (1945-2001). Tough to argue your point there. Can't I dream though, maybe it'll at least get me through my remaining years on this pile of dirt and rock. Wouldn't it be a fun experiment in human psychology to say at the next party we were all to attend: A toast: Only the dead have seen the end of war. We could record the human reactions to the quote, and count how long it takes before we're no longer invited to parties. I bet it would become a fad at embassy parties. <LOL> jttmab
