You seem to be suggesting that the president has control of budget deficits, which wasn't true then....

The budget surplus we have today is largely the result of the tax increase of 1993 and economic expansion of the last 10 years. Guess who played a major role in both of these acts.

In 1981 and again this year tax cut initiatives were campaign issues respectively Reagan and Bush Jr rode to the White House. The tax increase of 1993 was the initiative of Clinton. How these tax initiatives affect economic conditions and the role played by the White House in setting economic policy itself are no small matters in budget outcomes.

I'm not the guy saying to throw more money at this horrible liberal program we call "Social Security" -- you are.

Let's euthanize our economically challenged elders and scuttle SS.
