richard, notice news of the loss was the first sentence. i'll give you props if you can find one report in the history of msft were investment gains took up the first sentence ;-) i could be confused with msft. where is a good free web site to review income statements and balance sheets? i used one before, but it became subscription and i walked, so to speak. i don't have specifics on msft so i could be in err. btw, take a look at the headline. "record revenue and income." it seems they conveniently excluded the investment loss ;-) did they exclude the gains from last year's earnings? i bet they didn't! ;-)
