Maybe they include the dumpster behind their fabs as part of the market too.

Or they sell the parts that don't work correctly for a couple of bucks as keychains and consider that part of the market...

Unlike Niceguy I don't think Intel lost money this quarter but I also don't think they will make 10cents EPS. It seems AMD had a small increase in market share and Intel chips prices have gone down a lot (yes so have AMDs) so unless unit growth has been strong this Q or Intel's cost cutting has worked wonders Intel's profits would have to be down.

Thats about all the speculating on Intel's Q that I am going to do. They report soon and we will find out the real story (or as much of it as Intel will tell us) then.

X-box man, X-box...Intel will count those as share. Likely brag about taking back some share in Q1 2002. They will hide the fact they are selling these for $30.
