Hi JT,

Kudos for posting the Rydex #'s. I've been hooked on them for awhile now and have started to accumulate the #'s for a series (the MM's).

As for your computer, I havent heard a thing bad about the CPQ, but most heavy users I know swear by DELL.

FWIW and regards.

Hi JT,

FWIW...I use a Dell Refurbished Workstation 620 with dual Xeon 800MHZ, 2048MB RDRam etc. on a cable modem...with little/no problems....knock on wood. I called them up for help installing a DVD/CDRW, & they were very helpful.

Best of Luck,

WHG?

BTW...Thanks for all the Rydex info.

Hi JT; Thanx for the updates..I running a HP , it's OK but I doubt I would buy
another one..( beats a CPQ )
Dell looks like it's got the most "meat" for the dollar & it'll be my
next buy.
BTW I use to build boxes some years ago but I quit when all the
discounters like wal-mart etc came out with the cheap stuff,
Dell has always made a good box, but I never did care for CPQ stuff.
If the Dell is a few dollars more I think in the long run you'll
be happier with it.
The only other thing is to find a good local clone box builder
"if you can find one who has been in your local for some time,"
Jim

Thanks for the numbers - great info

computers:

- find a local store that has been in business for a few years, and have one built - best bang for buck
- learn about it, and DIY
- buy Dell
- I don't like Compaq - too much cheap / specific to Compaq stuff

Good trading ...

JT,

I think this update proves that Wednesday was not THE bottom, as dynamic long total assets jumped 45% in just 2 days. If it was really THE bottom, they would be selling into it. This sentiment reminds me of that in the gold miners about a month ago where much of S.I. got crazy on gold & gold stocks after a modest rally off the lows, and the rally imploded.

This sentiment reeks of "afraid to miss the rally", so more downside action is necessary to eliminate it. What u say?

Rydex Total Assets Update for Friday, July 13th 2001:

Regular Series:

SPX Long - NOVA 285.0 Million**BULLISH
SPX Short- URSA 225.2 Million
NDX Long - OTC 1170 BILLION**BULLISH
NDX Short- Arktos 61.7 Million**BEARISH

XAU Precious Metals 29.8 Million**BULLISH
Banking 47.3 Million**BULLISH
Biotech 349.0 Million
Money Market 1,410 BILLION**Bullish - Oversold

*******************************************

Dynamic Series (200% correlation to Index)

SPX Long - TITAN 88.7 Million**BULLISH
SPX Short- TEMPEST 65.8 Million

NDX Long - VELOCITY 180.0 Million
NDX Short- VENTURE 78.3 Million**BULLISH

*********************************************

Rydex Sentiment numbers extremely BULLISH given the recent reversal the last two days. Bullish position everywhere except Arktos which is the least sentiment responsive to all Bull/Bear Funds.

Money Market levels back above oversold as the masses believe the first launch coming outta da hole was a fluke.
I got news for da Bears. IT AIN"T NO FLUKE. We are going higher through the rest of July until these numbers exhibit Bullish exubberance which is non existent right now.

Any minor pullback, if it is to materialize, is to be bought with reckless abandon with stop losses 10% below buy in levels. This is a sweet spot for the market time to lock and load and put the dry powder to work.

Regular Series: 100% XAU Precious Metals
Dynamic Series: 100% Long SPX TITAN

Best Regards, J.T.
