I don't see why a simple acknowledgement of this is "condescending," as average said, or "a cheap shot," as Greg said. I meant neither by it. I don't imagine that Kierkegaard did either.

Faith is a tailor-made explanation for religious beliefs. We humans have multiple ways for gathering data. Faith is one of them. If I put my finger on the stove, I don't go through some scientific process of observing the elevated area on the tip of my finger and conclude it's a burn blister rather than a spider bite because it's white rather than red. I simply say "ouch, that burns" and be done with it. So I'm curious about why Greg doesn't just say that his soul if filled with the greatness of the Lord and be done with it.
