Actually I'm not impressed with anybody. Everyone is greeted with a healthy dose of skepticism. Why? Because no one talks of these subjects without wanting to get a point across, so no one is honest in a discussion nor with themselves.

I am very pro-gun. I love shooting my rifles, shotguns, pistols, revolvers, whatever. I shoot on leagues, I plink, I hunt, I teach my kids about gun safety. There are lots of people out there in America that think that is wrong and dangerous. They want to stop me from doing that, because they are uncomfortable. They want to impress their beliefs on my life. That is BS. Because I shoot, and because a small, but big mouthed, minority has gotten the "gun issue" to be an issue, I have to choose a side. I choose the side I like of course, and I choose a group with the most horsepower.

I love the way people think the NRA is this BIG BAD thing. The NRA negotiates and gives way far too often on gun issues. The RKBA and GOA are other Societies I sympathize with, and if they were more powerful, I would be more active in those Societies.

Again, we can examine sentence structure of the Second Amendment all we want, but it will not change the fact for me, that when people want to band together to ban something they do not like it is not right. You cannot, on a wholesale scale, simply ban things you do not like. I thank the Founding Fathers for having their wits and specifically including the provisions on arms. Whether it be for militia or for individuals, they knew the right to arms was extremely important.

If you people in denial over the Second Amendment could see this and actually THINK about what they wanted, you would have to agree, they wanted you & me & your neighbors & my neighbors, the guaranteed, un-infringed, Right to have access to arms for self defense and defense of the nation from enemies within and without.

Now before you go on a "defense" related tirade, keep in mind, the only way to be ready to use a weapon in a defensive manner is to have practiced. That means shooting and shooting often, it means knowing how a gun works, what it is capable of, it menas cleaning, it means understanding ammunition and reloading procedures. This is wholesome research and work. It is initially challenging, then quite enjoyable.

Common sense would go along way in this "issue."
