Talk about consumers.

I repeat that I do not claim to understand the economy, but I'm working on my sales tax return for the month of June.

In 25+ years of owning an art gallery, June was my largest grossing month ever, by perhaps 50%. This in and of itself does not mean much. Sometimes people pay over months, sometimes all at once, and next to nobody paid in May for what they bought in May. And the total is only based on 17 sales, but those 17 sales comprise 33% of last year's gross. (yes, this is a strange business.)

But more importantly, Scott, we are having a barbecue at the gallery tonight (from 6 to 9). I didn't ask anyone to RSVP so it is hard to guess how many are coming, but I have enough food for 300. (I really do.)

All of you are invited, but Scott lives nearby.

See if you can get Voltaire to fly up (bring Dealer) and join us. Pick up the Pittsburgh contingent. Give RR a jingle, but no raccoons, I've got a rabbit warren under the hill on the lawn.
