I had heard that LC was available cheap, but still am rather amazed that it was a junior that did it. No doubt similar to other PDG deals like Donlin Creek and Mulatos. Vanessa is involved with a land holding in KM88 but doesn't have much ore.

The strategy that is supposed to make KM88 work is a large project (probably the largest in the world) that takes cash cost way down and spreads out the capex over larger and quicker production. Brisas owned by GLDR was to be important to that, as was a new exploration program on the huge prospective potential there. Note that GLDR has doubled since this post, so there's been some influencing news?

It was my understanding that this general approach was to be confirmed by the "Scotia study" commissioned by Venz. This study has apparently been in the hands of the Venz govt for a few months and must be known at least to the parties down there and I would imagine majors that had an interest.

Therefore, it is a bit perplexing that PDG is just passing this "Mulatos style" to an undercapitalized junior. Other majors aren't ready yet, or just PDG's ultimate "screw you" to the world on this? The question, is a major ready soon? Does Venz, just laugh at this junior? What an odd outcome. Is something else lined up (a new deal with a major)by the government when they boot PDG this weekend? Incredibly lacking in transparency right now.
