Did you notice his anger while presenting his statement. Certainly not the way to convince the press of Condit's innocence. He was lied to once already by Condit, why should he believe him now? Lowell went before the press and threatened lawsuits for slander when the press said their was an affair. That turned out to be true and the threats of law suits ceased. Of course Condit will pass a lie detector test. He is a democratic politician. Deceit and lies are part of his demeanor.
