you got that backwards. the longer this thing drags out the harder it is for msft to do what they want. in fact, msft will be under scrutiny forever. basically, they are screwed. they are a convicted felon and gates and co. should be wearing ankle bracelets to keep them in line.

Perhaps that is why the DOJ wants to move things along and Microsoft seems to want delay. But they can't delay forever.
