Does that means that my forecast (failing to hold above 2078) sucks less? The week is still long, and BB is still adorning a pair of horns, until he "velcros" up his bear suit again, and suffocates from the heat, I won't give up on my bear suit (mine is airconditioned) (g).

Eichler, AMAT comments made it extremely difficult for the market. Now NVLS, which is in the same business, has just reported good numbers.
The question is going to be:
Is it as bad as AMAT is suggesting or is it partially a competitive issue. If the conference call suggests that their version of the outlook is slightly better than AMAT, the market can go up tomorrow...or at least the semis.

That will probably dictate direction tomorrow. At least the AMAT bad news seems to be factored in for now...definitely the stocks to watch tomorrow (amat, nvls).

There is still INTC tomorrow. Price cuts today have been spinned as negative for the company but I am not so sure.

Let me be the first to say:
Eichler, your rally expectation suks! ggg
Back to the drawing board:

Don't be hard on yourself. You may just be a bit early. Wait for the comments out of NVLS tonight and watch the trading tomorrow before you throw in the towel on the rally call.

IMHO, this is going to be a news driven market in the near term...especially this week and next.
