(Nasdaq:ATSN) continues to aggressively bring new products to market, with today's announcement of the EXQ125 family of high efficiency, high power DC/DC converters. These converters set new standards for power density in a quarter-brick format and are designed to meet the low voltage, high current requirements of latest-generation semiconductor technology. The new EXQ125 offers extremely high usable power in a convenient quarter-brick format. With up to 83W of usable power, the EXQ125 offers an unprecedented 50W/in3, setting a new standard in the industry. Customers have a choice of either 3.3V, 2.5V or 1.8V outputs to meet their low voltage needs. All three models are capable of producing exceptionally high current output levels. ``During this period of economic uncertainty, we are continuing to aggressively introduce new products that will provide for future growth,'' commented Artesyn's President and CEO, Joseph M. The introduction of the EXQ125 is one of several new products released by Artesyn this year. As distributed power architectures become more common, manufacturers of DC/DC products are seeing exciting future growth opportunities. Recent product introductions have expanded Artesyn's DC/DC product line to 30 families, with over 200 individual products. Customers are able to choose from surface mountable, through-hole or point-of-load converters that range in power from 2W up to 264W, with output currents up to 80A. Many of these products, such as the EXQ125, are based on open frame, baseplate designs that can operate in demanding operating conditions with high levels of efficiency.
