The Stodgy Stooge and the stoic statesman The Mohajir is back home from India just in the nick of time to nip any attempt to dislodge him from his five-hatted position. He has to prove time and again that he is the tried and true stodgy stooge of the punjabi puppeteers. It is imperative upon him that he is very uncompromising towards the Indians, considering his roots. It is possible that he may have some soft spots in his heart for India and something Indian. But it has to be in relation to the India's Islamic heritage. Musharraf and his minions are soft-pedaling much ballyhooed souped-up but conked-out unproductive summit, because any statement other than that will jeopardize the flow of dole-money from the international agencies. A partial success or a beginning is celebrated to fool the international agencies into parting with their purse. Also Uncle Sam has to be propitiated. There is a sneaky feeling that this summit was doomed right from the beginning, because the commando came into Agra for the sole purpose of extracting a promise from the old man that Kashmir is the one and only issue between India and pakistan and everything else will resolve themselves once Kashmir issue is resolved. As expected of a commando, his objective was single. He went home without the attainment of his objective. The commando by virtue of his training, does not have the ability to broaden , diffuse and expand his objective beyond a predetermined single issue.

The Prme Minister said Musharraf was not exposed to any international diplomacy. He had no perspective nor understanding of Indian politics or political leaders and about the consensus in the country on Kashmir as an integral part of India and Pakistan's role in cross-border terrorism.
