So you feel like "other" WRT this tendency toward oppositional mental constructs?

Yes, I feel like "other" in that regard and in many, many others. <g>

X is working. I would guess maybe Chris is too...

So you feel like "other"

I often feel like "other"; I get the feeling that many people do, but hide it well. Meersault never seemed to see himself that way, did he? Because I think if we are conscious of it, then we work at not APPEARING like other- we hide or mitigate our differences. We want to look correct.
Did M. perceive himself as different? Do sociopaths realize they lack something? Wasn't M puzzled by people and their reactions to him? He certainly made no attempt to appear "normal".

I should have reread the book last night, but I started a new Barbara Kingsolver instead-- I am weak.

I'm here, but in limited mode as explained a post or two ago.

don't forget I'm on West Coast time. I've just finished dinner, while you're settled in for the evening and are probably getting ready for bed.
