I doubt that this particular earnings report is going to change the minds of the longer term holders (mutual funds) because so many of them are looking at the business prospects after the next quarter.

Any positives and the shorts may be running for cover; there are lots of them out there. In June there was an increase as well and volume on the Nasdaq has been decreasing...ie. days to cover may be on the increase...on the Nasdaq as a whole.

Little downside (25 or so) with a lots of upside (35 to 40), IMHO. I base this on the many negative analyst calls on the stock. Only if they forecast a loss for next quarter or earnings of under about 7cents would there be a selloff in the mid 20s.

Well, Intel hasn't warned recently, maybe it won't be that bad...
