I am a free trader, and do not care for "Buy America" appeals. Compeition was good for Detroit. Agreed. It was good for everyone. It certainly got rid of the trash that Detroit was making. Wal- Mart than competes against K- Mart and Value City and Ames and Target, etc. In the long run, the process is more economically efficient and conducive to consumer satisfaction....... Certainly true for an Annapolis; not necessarily true for Podunk, Iowa. The market in Podunk may not be large enough to support and Ames, so a monopoly is created [de facto]. It looks like the message count has gone up since you and Mephisto returned from holiday. Is there any truth to the rumor that your holidays were taken together? jttmab
