Then perhaps we can agree to keep partisan discussion of how Levy's disappearance is being treated by the media off this thread and stick to issues like the nature of their relationship, the history of disappearances of young women in that area, the evidence as it unfolds, the police's conclusion as to the acceptability of Condit's lie detector test.

You know. That sort of thing.

It may be difficult to exclude politics from the Condit affair because of the way the
media is covering (or not covering) the story and because of the tactics emanating
from the Condit camp.


Also because it's very likely that she had an affair with Condit because he was a prominent politician, and it's equally likely that he went to such extremes to cover up and obfuscate his relationship with her because he was a politician. If he had been a Kmart checker, he probably would have trumpeted his success with this woman.
