He says the heartland of America. Yeah right. Look at the election map. The heartland of America voted for Bush. The most violent areas of the country where most of the crime occurs, the areas most filled with people with their hands out voted for Gore.

Bush has already lost the Senate, is in danger of losing the congress, people are against nearly all his programs even fellow Republicans, he's desperately trying to throw bones to his core supporters like this phony Faith-Based thing that can never work, emergency smoozing with congress, polls plummeting, world opinion squarely against him, economy sucks and he's doing nothing about it, and once the media gets fixed on the truth about the energy crisis instead of the Gary Condit affair whatever swing vote support he has left will erode down to almost nothing. He will keep his dittohead followers until the bitter end just as Nixon did, but that's not enough to win any elections outside the most all-white right-wing precincts or maybe in Texas which has been greatly enriched by his "policies". He is quickly on his way to being a collosal disappointment and political has-been. People can be fooled once but won't be again. And remember he lost the popular vote and only squeaked by on a technicality. He's toast which is why our allies will wait 3.5 years to do anything with him knowing he'll be gone then. Considering the lies he's told us already we just can't trust this many anymore, or anyone around him. Nothing but spin, diversion and terrible, unpopular policy-making. Bush is created a whole new generation of environmentalists.
