From the sad but true department...... Just received my mail and found the following from the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois..... Investment Update....."SURS investment return for the first nine months of Fiscal Year 2001 was -11.8% net of all portfolio management fees. The return is ahead of the market goal of -12.2% for the fund". This -11.8% is before the (estimated) hundred's of thousand dollars of portfolio management fees were taken out. If I couldn't manage a portfolio and have a goal of more than -12.2% then I think that I should be fired on the spot!!!! Another sad sign of government at work....... lake Guess these people have never heard of a "Stop Loss"!
