Now that's a hoot. The NYTimes is a strictly parochial NY, actually Manhattan, paper.

The WSJ is recognized as the best paper in the world, its readers are from a far higher demographic than the shoplifters that read the NYTimes.

As for web sites, people pay the NYTimes what theirs is worth. The WSJ - who commands payment - is universally recognized as the most successful web publication.
