Does anyone know what the royalty requirements are by Intel to ARM, and until what point are these required (presumably if there is a patent, it should expire at some point?)

Tablets may do OK - but they don't fit well inside your pocket - as your HandSpring does.

The success of the "palm" and its variants is that it does fit in one's pocket - and it does offer pretty good functionality for its size.

However it pans out, though, Intel has the CPUs to dominate the "Palm-let space", as you note.

One word, Benjamin:

The real breakthrough killer form will be viable voice recognition.

Remember Intel bought both what were they called, Dialogic and Digicom (??)a couple of years ago.

That and common business software AND small form factor processor capablitity to power it.

The first use of the technology will be in voice activated call reception, sort of now, and then...

That may be more than one word.
