But, he's not playing it smart to let his lawyers do the talking... if he wanted to play it smart, he would have held a press conference immediately (within days) and answered all press questions with full disclosure, then he could always reply afterwards that he has already answered that question... he could have, and should have, contacted Chandra's parents and come clean about the affair immediately, after all, he was sleeping with their daughter, he could have shown some sensitivity, he has shown none... he could have then told them he's also very distressed by her disappearance (this is common courtesy), and he could have reassured them and offered to assist them in helping find their daughter in any way, give them his phone number and make himself available very early on in this whole thing, and stand beside them when they talk with the press (as a rule, any delay in full disclosure only makes one look guilty of hiding something)... but, instead, he comes across as callous and cold blooded... he could have opened his apartment to the police immediately and invited them in to search at their leisure if he had nothing to hide... granted, this may not be the prudent thing to do if one is guilty, but he is a public figure and should have demonstrated diligence and good faith immediately... then, I doubt he would have ever been the topic of discussion... this is Condit's big mistake... right now, it's too late for him to undo anything he's already done to his own image no matter how innocent he may be... I'm not once insisting he's guilty, I'm simply raising questions that point to his guilty demeanor and curious behaviors surrounding the circumstances of this case... he acts guilty and deceptive... and if he's running around on the cheating side of town, this clearly makes him a prime target for counter intelligence efforts, what would he be willing to give away for the sole purpose of saving his butt because of an affair.....
