Mani, Re: I think I will wait till the last shoe drops out of INTC. They cook the books with the tax rate, guide lower even based on the bogus assumption that windows XP will save the second half, ASP and margins are falling and the PE is sky high.

Why does everyone here tend not to look at AMD's execution but focus on Intel instead? AMD's stock won't go any higher if Intel falls as you predict. So far it's Intel who is "winning" this price war (although at a very high cost) and I don't expect that to change any time soon. As long as AMD is stuck in the "match and undercut price at a given clock-speed" mantra, they'll continue to lose money until there's an economic upturn. And concerning the different P/Es for Intel and AMD: After this month's warning the explanation for that is clear. You don't build confidence by screwing your investors.

Mani - RE: "AMD's fall is not company specific and is more due to the flash market."

Yeah, flash was clearly a big part of AMD's shortfall last Q, and it isn't going to be a v-shaped recovery. Processors will be a bigger weak point this Q and in the upcoming future.

"but if your views are any indication for the overall market"

My view is AMD specific.
