Re: Did you catch this line in Intel's Q2 2001 report, The intel report, in general, is a laugh riot. Did you notice that they added $800 million in new "goodwill" this quarter? (while making a big deal about excluding the $600 million in charges for existing "goodwill" from their pro forma earnings) And, while "trading assets" are only down $320 million, "strategic securities" are down another $510 million and "long term" investments are down $47 million. Then there is the note that an additional $58 million in losses hasn't yet been recognized.
