Is it crowded? I don't like to go to the mountains if it is jammed with people...I like the little meandering streams isolated that no one has discovered as YET.

We were talking yesterday about how Joe Six pack will spend his rebate and we came up with WalMart, and Costco. Do you have any other suggestions?

I looked at both their charts, and they look a little top heavy. What do you think?

I think this time my great discovery was the land around the caldera in the Jemez mountains. It was just exquisite. It was probably 8 or 9k which is a little easier on the lungs. We were the only car for much of the day, and any turnoff was a spectacular surprise. My favorite was this area called conchas where a healthy stream just meandered through meadows & rock outcropping & forests. Lots of wildlife. And a few fly fishermen having a good old time.
