OT Lance is the most unsung, underrated, amazing athlete that not-near-enough-Americans know about....If he wins the Tour again this year, and SI doesn't make him "Sportman of the Year", there is truly no justice in the sporting world. Tiger Woods is a great golfer. Cal Ripken a great baseball player. But give me a break. The praise heeped on these guys is unreal and, really, enough already. These guys do not kill themselves like a bike racer going up the Pyrenees. Literally life or death struggles on the roads there. You are pushing your physical abilities to such an extreme. Add in Lance's miraculous comeback from cancer....and Lance deserves a lot more publicity and respect. A lot more. BTW- I am not a big racing fan at all. Just think Lance is the greatest story around. And, btw, Tony Gwynn should be getting more pub in his last year too...if Ripken was a better player in his entire career, than just barely so...
