A reasonable estimate could be obtained from the data showing the increase of CO2 content in the atmosphere as a function of time. That data is available going back more than a 150 years, I believe. I had a link for the curve but can't find it at the moment. I recently heard that the difference between the Ice Age and the present is a mere 6 degrees F.
