"What are you saying there, brees?"

As a surprise to even me, I have been put on ignore over on the RWET for being a lib with "problems."

"I don't expect W to actually weigh the evidence and look out for the good of humanity or anything, but sometimes things work out for the best, regardless."

Either you stand on principle or you don't. He seems to be afraid to take a stand that would give the appearance of an association or agreement with religious leaders. That is as bad as taking a stand with them regardless of the merits of the issue. As you are fond of saying, "Its all just politics."

Doesn't it crack you up that Nancy is in this? It does me. People are so self serving. (and yet so loath to admit they are, or blind to the fact they are) I find that amusing.

Whiney boy, "conventional" scientists have acknowledged the serious moral and ethical issues that are raised by stem cell research. Discounting those concerns as you do in your post just shows how little intelligent thought you have put into the matter (as usual). Its good for Bush to take his time making the decision and it is an issue where reasonable minds may differ. I am personally in favor of the research but I can live with a decision on federal funding which goes either way. I hope Bush decides to fund this research but I will not fault him if he goes the other way. It is a very difficult decision for those who truly value human life.

Regardless of the Pope, if Bush is pro- life, he is unlikely to support embryonic research........
