"social security and for years relied on an ever expanding population (investors) to fund it. " Don't think so....it required the same number of investors paying in at rates adjusted for inflation

"What exactly is the government going to do as those on social security equal or exceed the number who are paying and we find out that the so called trust fund is just money we owe and may not be able to collect?" The problem of the baby boomers has been forecast for many years and discussed in congress for just as long. So what is Bush's solution?....give a 1.3B$ tax cut based on a tax revenue surplus that may not exist much longer. Remember both he and Gore promised to save SS and Medicare... What would be your preferred remedy?
