I guess one could interpret that even if life had a "manual" of instructions, which it would be given to each one of us upon our respective births --for later reading of course, it still does not change the simple fact that to succeed, we do need to... well... The Perfect Sky ~Tess It is too easy to speak of the lovers, their crimson hands, the many lips that may not touch without a moon between. It is too easy to call up from the wordless hedge the seal-colored birds, to fix them a dark constellation about the cloud that even now is fading. It is easy too to see the woman in the doorway and further, how she passes to the familiar rooms toward the slow faces, how from her hands are falling the endless, the wooden plates. Cunningly, cunningly she gives to those of her table and they without apology raise their bright forks, raise and lower, fattening imperceptibly in the yellowed light. Made calm by some deeper neglect her silhouette returns to the doorway. The birds flown so recently from the hedge reappear as do the lovers of whom it has been easy to speak. Finally, it is the missing cloud that concerns us and what we may say before the perfect sky.
