I remember all your posts about how copper at Dresden was too expensive and would cause contamination problems and delay AMD's transition to .18.

But AMD did it anyway. It took 6 extra months to do .18 on copper, but it put AMD in the process lead for 18 months.

Now the same thing is happening again. Intel rushes a relatively simple, cheap, and easy implementation of .13 out. 6 months later AMD fields a much higher performing .13 process and leads Intel for the following 18 months.

It's this pattern that has enabled AMD to gain so much market share from Intel.
