I tend to agree that amounts of $600 or less will tend to get spent quickly by most recipients. I'm not as confident that the multiplier effect will be there. To some degree, I believe it depends upon how much is sucked up by inventory reduction rather than being spent again...

There will be a multiplier, I'm not convinced that with the current weakness it will be all that great.
