William, regarding the G7 ....personally I am embarrassed as an American. We are the world's number one polluter and have taken a deaf ear to the rest of the world's efforts toward ecological responsibility. Our posture is indefensible.

Aside from the paltry one billion for Aids research in Africa, the only other thing of significance in Genoa, Italy was the delegates gorging themselves on pasta and wine while 50,000 demonstrators objected to the fact that these countries leaders think they can run the world like a corporation...

The markets see these huge layoffs and start anticipating the Domino Effect... "Employed workers buy things"... "Unemployed workers buy less"... Less buying means higher inventories... More unemployed means less tax receipts... This is what market bottoms are made of... The V bottom has turned into something else yet to be defined...

The short term downsloping trendline on the Nasdaq sits at 2070... Until that's broken on a closing basis there is little hope of braking away from the grasp of the bear...
