Yes, Poet is so consistently hostile and rude, quite in contrast to the usual RWET crowd. The humor of the "token liberal" thing is too subtle for me, I confess.

Listening to the news today, I was more amused to hear how W is supposedly being boxed in by the Pope on stem cell research. Historically, it seems a bit ironic to hear that the Pope is supposed to be in a position to tell the President of the US what to do, that was somewhat of a sensitive issue in JFK's time. Then there's the more proximate issue of the Pope's equally strong faith in the "every sperm is sacred" doctrine, why isn't the President supposed to pay attention to that one? All rather odd.
