Arb positions would have been closed by delivery of newly issued WCOM shares to cover shorts, not by any actual buying of the stock in the market. It would have no effect on the market price of the stock.

OTOH, the new supply of WCOM shares in the hands of probably less than delighted former ICIX holders could create some downward pressure.

Yes, tomorrow's guidance will be critical if we are to get out of these doldrums.
