Here's something to do this weekend :)

My son Lucas has been living and working in Beijing for the past year (running a student-year-abroad program). He is fluent in Mandarin and knows the lay of the land incredibly well.

Caroline and I just got back from spending a week with him. It was a blast and an eye-opener. Having a family member as your own personal guide is definitely the way to go. I found the Chinese very warm, energized, curious and worth photographing.

For those of you who have been, some of the images we took may refresh memories. For those of you who haven't, here is an opportunity to get a glimpse of a non-Western culture through a friend's eyes.

I do not assume that these are great photos. I just like them.
