I don't think I've ever heard of a writedown of this magnitude. They've probably made the record for the next 5 years at least. :)

That's mind boggling...

SDLI and ETEK purchases must have caused the most of this pain.

At any rate, JDSU looks dirt cheat at 8, had to grab few shares...
