>Someone said it doesn't pay to argue with barking dogs and traffic.<

I disagree, at least in so far as barking dogs go. When I rode my bicycle there was one dog that would always come out barking and bite my pantlegs as I rode past. One day, as the dog came out barking, I got of by bike, down on all fours, looked him straight in the eyes and snarled at him. He turned around and ran, and never came after me again.

Tony,

Yes, it's a private club over here. They accept the opinions of folks that may have a negative trading perspective on AMD, but only if they have a AMD bias over Intel. For a while I was positive on both stocks, and all I got was a hard time on this thread.

re: Itanium potential - Mary has the patience of a saint keeping up correspondence with them.

Funny that I started that debate with a simple question, something like "I wonder what that market is worth?". Now I just skip by the posts, everyone has beaten it to death.

Don't give up on this thread, there is actually some good information here. And the folks are not that bad when they get their head out of their ---, once in a while.

John

Dear Tony:

You do not know the pricing of servers. How many have you specified in your life! Do you know even how to make one? Do you know how much engineering goes into building one with more than a standard number of CPUs? Have you ever created a turn key server? Do you know how much it takes in both application and support software? Can you fix one when it breaks?

No, I didn't think so! You speak with forked tongue! Get experience before shooting your mouth off!
