And each of the affairs appear to have been solitary deals, whereas Bill and Gary engaged in multiple affairs. Lame defense for the indifensible on both sides. Al and Bill emptied the reserve ... They took action that was pro-consumer, though they hardly emptied the reserves. Isn't it interesting that we develop a "shortage" just as a new Republican administration with ties to big oil comes to power and prices of gas and oil spik just as the American economy can least afford it? And the Rep duo can do no better than to shrug and say that there is no short term relief and that conservation (possibly one of the few short term solutions) is not the answer? Give me a break, even if that was true (and clearly it is not) it is irresponsible (and shady) to pronounce it on TV. Al
