In Intel's latest conference call (still available at www.intc.com), Paul Ottelini said that Intel "held share" in the most recent quarter, had "well over 80%" share in the US retail PC segment, and is poised to gain share in the next few quarters. He starts talking about 11 minutes into the call and goes for about 8 minutes.

AMD was pleased that they pumped 1.2 Million units into one of their channel parttners - just to make that pyrrhic victory.
