It's getting quieter, and quieter on SI. Almost every day, another SI elder gives up the ghost. How much longer till SI shuts down ?

NV, I think you are seeing only the "positive", you are "wishing a summer rally", I am not sure where it will come from, no more "painting of lousy earnings as great achievements in these hard times", not much more on the easing side left either, and both Japan and Europe are simultaneously slipping away. After Koizumu' victory, it is possible that Japan is going to institute some tough measures (which will help long term) resulting in increased unemployment, writing off "unperforming assets' thus "taking out for the time being the "eastern locomotive of world GDP. the US locomotive has slowed down markedl already. Who is going to buy the products of all these tech's company at a rate greater than last year to show growth?

What part of stable does msft look like? It closed near the low of the day. It couldn't hold the rally it had. Looks weak to me. If it breaks 64, it's going to the 50's. In fact, the chart is beginning to look like alot of the high fliers did last year.

I won't be surprised to see the low 50's in msft and maybe even lower. Ballmer said the next few quarters don't matter. That tells me he thinks earnings are going to have to be guided down.

Opwv was strong and look at what happened into the close!

I'm looking to buy some stocks, but now doesn't look like the time. Maybe in a few days, maybe a couple weeks or maybe a few months or maybe just selected stocks, but msft isn't one that looks good at all.
