You can feel the same way about your parents and their disapproval and get to a completely different place. My parents would have been horrified if I had turned out conservative. My mother still thinks I am far too conservative, I can tell. Not wanting to disappoint one's parents does not get you to an even standard of decency. I think this might have been over looked. But my apologies if it was already mentioned.

It seems Bonuss in Austin's post was deleted. I wouldn't exactly call it a sterling example of the type of post that caused me to participate on this thread but I can't see that it really deserved to be deleted. It called a group of people lunatics and speculated that they have less then satisfying sexual relationships. While this might not be a nice thing to say and it also may not lead to productive or interesting conversation I can't see how it is against the TOU unless they ban insulting other users in which case the majority of SI posters should have deleted messages and warnings from the SI admins. It was removed relatively quickly, less then an hour after it was posted and not long after I read it. I would have replied to BiA's message instead of one of yours but SI wont let you reply to a deleted message. I could see it in my browser window by hitting the back key, but when I hit reply it tells me "You are not allowed to read this message". Tim
